Intentional Environments: Just as the parent participants & teacher must operate on strong intention, our outdoor classroom also offers conscious design. The learning space is essentially the stage for children's creativity & exploration. Simple, natural materials DON'T have to be expensive, store bought or overly plentiful to engage the child. Having less materials to promote more imaginative play & to offer a unique opportunity to connect more deeply with the environment is key. The space is rich in loose parts, sensory experiences and natural objects & handmade or custom structures to ensure an intentional experience.

Who We Are
Inspired by Waldorf and Reggio Emilia approaches, our preschool in Citrus Heights, CA, provides a serene space for children to embrace holistic learning experiences. Through unstructured play and natural materials, we foster creativity, social skills, and a love for exploration. Priority admission is granted to children aspiring to join a local Waldorf elementary school.
We offer an unhurried approach to early education without burning the child out before they get to kindergarten. We understand that play is not a break from learning—it’s the way young children learn. Our goal is to keep encouraging the creativity, curiosity & joy that children naturally express.
